Software Engineer — Face ID

What you'll do

• Design, implement, integrate, optimize, test, and benchmark software across the OS stack, emphasizing performance, power, reliability, and security.
• Work with computer vision and machine learning researchers to move capabilities from prototype to production, and partner with hardware and silicon teams on sensor bring-up.
• Collaborate with framework, accessibility, and QA teams to deliver reliable experiences.

What they ask for

• BS and at least 10 years of relevant industry experience.
• Track record designing and shipping robust software collaboratively, with strong software engineering fundamentals.
• Production software experience on resource-constrained or embedded platforms, emphasizing performance, memory, latency, and power.
• Experience integrating computer vision or machine learning components into shipping products; experience with profiling, instrumentation, automated testing, and continuous integration.

Nice to have

• MS or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Expert C/C++ skills; working knowledge of Python; Objective-C or Swift experience; familiarity with sensor pipelines or 3D/time-of-flight imaging.

Pay

$184,700 and $324,800 (base salary)
