User Studies Operations Specialist

What you'll do

• Operationalize study protocols; test hardware and improve processes; administer in-person and pilot studies, including participant recruitment, onboarding, and informed consent.
• Manage research vendors from initial engagement through data delivery and quality assurance; coordinate approvals with legal teams and review boards.
• Contribute to study design and testing methods, and help structure datasets and annotation schemes for algorithm training and evaluation.

What they ask for

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Neuroscience, Cognitive Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in research operations, human behavioral/physiological research, or tech-focused lab management.
• Demonstrated human research execution expertise involving complex sensing hardware, prototype software, and behavioral observation.
• Experience leveraging AI tools, LLM workflows, or lightweight scripting (e.g., Bash, Python) to automate tasks, logging, or reporting.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AI/ML principles, algorithmic evaluation pipelines, data annotation, or model validation.
• Experience managing external research vendors, recruitment panels, or contractors; or working with physiological sensing modalities.

Pay

$144,600 and $263,800 USD base salary
