What you'll do
- Design and simulate custom BLDC/PMSM motors, setting performance targets and balancing motor, thermal, and robot-level requirements.
- Specify and oversee motor testing, using dyno data to validate simulations and compare prototypes with off-the-shelf designs.
- Coordinate cross-functional integration and serve as technical lead with suppliers, manufacturing vendors, and university collaborators.
