What you'll do
- Design power-system architecture, generator controls and protection, and utility interconnection for grid-tied and islanded plants.
- Conduct or direct power-system studies; specify, procure, and manage installation of major electrical equipment.
- Lead electrical commissioning through first synchronization to the grid.

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering field.
- 8+ years of experience in power-generation, industrial, or utility electrical systems, including medium-voltage generation and distribution and transmission-level interconnection.
- Hands-on commissioning or startup experience with a generating plant or large industrial electrical system.
- Experience taking electrical equipment from concept through specification, procurement, installation, and energization; fluency in generator protection, excitation, synchronization, and power-system studies.
Nice to have
- Islanded power systems, load shedding, and generator paralleling experience.
- Gas-turbine or reciprocating-engine generator package experience; utility interconnection studies or RTO/ISO or CAISO/WECC process experience; M.S. in Electrical Engineering with a power systems emphasis; or startup/first-of-a-kind hardware background.
Pay
$165,000 - $185,000 USD/year (USD, base salary)
