About the job
Designs complex PCBs for Arm hardware development platforms used to evaluate SoCs and reference designs for software development and validation.
What you'll do
- Collaborate with hardware teams on PCB design, including mechanical and thermal requirements, component placement, power planes, and high-speed routing.
- Finalize PCB designs and deliver manufacturing data packs, drawings, and BOMs.
- Work with packaging teams, fabricators, and CEMs on routing, cost and layer trade-offs, and DFM/DFT.
What they ask for
- Experience designing impedance-controlled multilayer (>20) conventional and HDI PCBs with >2000-pin devices, high-speed interfaces, differential pairs, and high-current PDNs.
- Experience collaborating with chip packaging teams and advising on high-density SoC pinout, routing topologies, cost, and layer trade-offs.
- Knowledge of high-density SoC and FPGA escape routing, Signal Integrity and Power Integrity, PCB fabrication, IPC standards, materials, vias, and design rules.
- Proficiency with Cadence OrCAD CIS and Allegro PCB; ability to collaborate with PCB fabricators and CEMs on DFM/DFT and assembly.
Nice to have
- Certified Interconnect Designer (CID, CID+).
- Experience with schematic entry and automating decoupling capacitor or IC placement optimization.
