Leads the strategy and global rollout of secure, scalable AI across AstraZeneca’s IT function, embedding it in engineering, operations, service management and other core IT practices.
What you'll do
- Develop and execute the AI-for-IT strategy, prioritising use cases and defining adoption roadmaps, investments and outcomes.
- Build and operate AI-for-IT platforms and embed AI in software development, IT operations, service management, cloud migration, testing and quality.
- Govern AI agents and costs, and build an IT community that promotes safe adoption, knowledge sharing and reuse.

- Recognised thought leadership in applied AI, agentic AI or AI-enabled IT transformation.
- Experience with agentic AI, Model Context Protocol, retrieval and enterprise knowledge systems.
- Knowledge of LLMs and AI technologies, including their capabilities, applications, ecosystem and regulatory landscape across the US, Europe and China.
- Software engineering, IT operations and service-management fluency; AI governance, security, compliance and observability knowledge.
Nice to have
