About the job

Conduct AI research and develop multimodal models, world models, and planning methods for autonomous transport platforms operating in real environments.

What you'll do

  • Integrate and prototype promising AI research; build models that connect visual perception and behavioral goals to vehicle actuation.
  • Research reinforcement learning and distillation techniques for trajectory planning, and develop interactive world models from sensor logs.
  • Evaluate autonomous-driving models in simulated scenarios, identify regressions and bottlenecks, and improve adaptability to new environments.

What they ask for

  • Currently enrolled in a PhD program in Computer Science, EECS, Robotics, AI, or a closely related field.
  • Publications or active submissions to top-tier AI or robotics venues.
  • PhD-level research background in at least one listed area: world or generative models, VLA or embodied AI, reinforcement learning or decision-making, or multimodal Transformers for robotics or spatio-temporal data.
  • Advanced proficiency with PyTorch or JAX, plus Python proficiency and working knowledge of C++.

Nice to have

  • Prior research or internship experience in autonomous driving, mobile robotics, or spatial AI.
  • Experience with multi-sensor fusion, BEV or 3D occupancy forecasting, spatial-data methods, or distributed GPU/TPU training.
