About the job

Leads the end-to-end development, review, and ongoing governance of safety cases for production robotic systems, ensuring arguments are supported by sufficient evidence.

What you'll do

  • Own and defend a defined safety case, from drafting through sign-off, while maintaining it as dependencies change.
  • Set safety argument boundaries and build Claim-Argument-Evidence (CAE) structures; evaluate evidence and coordinate with safety, validation, and fleet operations teams.
  • Lead formal safety reviews, improve shared safety methods and tooling, and develop AI-assisted safety engineering workflows.

What they ask for

  • 9+ years of cross-functional experience across functional safety, autonomous behavior, and fleet operations, with deep expertise in at least two and working fluency in the third.
  • Author-of-record experience for a structured safety argument (GSN or CAE equivalent) on a production system.
  • Demonstrated mastery of hazard analysis methods paired with scenario-based validation strategies.
  • Proficiency with relevant safety standards, statistical risk metrics, data provenance, and functional programming (e.g., Python).

Pay

$182,000 - $230,000 per year (base salary)

Tools

GSN, CAE, HARA, FMEA, FTA, ISO 26262, ISO 21448 (SOTIF), Python

AI focus
