About the job
Leads structural design, analysis, permitting, and standardization for Atoms’ physical infrastructure projects, including food facilities, industrial buildings, and EV/AV infrastructure.
What you'll do
- Prepare structural calculations, permit-ready drawings, and specifications across jurisdictions.
- Design foundations and coordinate structural work with soils engineers, civil teams, architects, and construction teams.
- Assess existing structures and vendor submittals, and develop reusable structural details and templates.
What they ask for
- Experience designing low-rise, light industrial, or site/civil-adjacent structures.
- Foundation design experience for commercial, industrial, or infrastructure facilities.
- Working knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, ACI 318, and AISC design standards.
- Experience preparing permit-ready structural drawings and managing AHJ plan reviews.
Nice to have
- Professional Engineer (PE) license; ability to obtain additional state licensure/reciprocity as needed.
- Background in commercial real estate, industrial/warehouse design, food facilities, modular systems, or multi-site infrastructure.

$160,000 - $190,000 per year (USD; base salary)
