Staff Security Engineer, Cloud Detection & Response

What you'll do

• Build and improve detection infrastructure, log pipelines, and detection-as-code workflows; expand and prioritize detection coverage.
• Author and tune detections, integrate threat intelligence, conduct threat hunts, and respond to security incidents, including on-call participation.
• Partner with engineering and IT teams on logging and detection design, and mentor SOC engineers.

What they ask for

• 10+ years of security experience and experience leading cross-functional security projects or programs from scoping through delivery.
• Strong foundation in threat detection and incident response; expertise with cloud security and cloud-native telemetry.
• Experience building or maturing detection infrastructure and expertise authoring detections and measuring coverage.
• Expertise with EDR and SaaS monitoring or comparable telemetry; MITRE ATT&CK expertise, NIST CSF understanding, and ability to write testable Python code.

Nice to have

• Experience with Zero Trust Architecture, SOC or detection engineering with AI/LLM, or data lakes.
• Experience with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001.

Pay

$189,000 - $303,000 per year (base salary); $171,000 - $273,000 per year (base salary)
