About the job

Build and productionize optimization and machine-learning models for transportation and logistics, including routing, scheduling, ETA prediction, and asset utilization.

What you'll do

  • Develop fleet, capacity, vehicle-routing, maritime, and container-optimization models, combining operations research, reinforcement learning, and machine learning where useful.
  • Build ETA, transit-time, and risk forecasts, and model trade-offs between expedite costs and production impact.
  • Deploy and monitor models with engineering; use knowledge-graph features, mentor scientists, and help guide the product roadmap.

What they ask for

  • PhD in Operations Research, Computer Science, Applied Math, Transportation Engineering, or a related field.
  • Deep knowledge of routing algorithms and time-series and probabilistic forecasting.
  • Hands-on Python (NumPy, pandas, PyTorch or TensorFlow) and optimization solvers (Gurobi, CPLEX, OR-Tools).
  • Experience shipping models to production on real logistics data.

Nice to have

  • Maritime, container logistics, or fleet-scheduling experience.
  • Reinforcement learning, simulation or digital twins, streaming data (Kafka, Spark), or publications at NeurIPS, ICML, INFORMS, or similar.

Pay

$160k - $240k USD base salary annually
