About the job
Designs and launches manufacturing equipment, processes, and production lines for Base Power’s battery storage systems, from prototype builds through high-volume production.
What you'll do
- Develop equipment, fixtures, processes, and workstation layouts; analyze production flow, capacity, and efficiency.
- Specify, procure, and manage suppliers and integrators through equipment design, buyoff, and installation.
- Provide manufacturability input and create manufacturing instructions and documentation for production handoff.
What they ask for
- 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Design Engineer working on mechanical and/or electromechanical systems.
- Experience with 2D CAD for conceptual line design and 3D design for mechanical equipment, fixturing, and tooling.
- Experience with GD&T, system stack-up analysis, automated manufacturing equipment specifications, and DFM/DFA.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Nice to have
- Experience with conveyance, workstation design, robotic systems, adhesive dispensing, DC fastening tools, or automated functional testing.
