Own day-to-day regulatory compliance and filings across assigned state and federal regulators, while translating regulatory requirements into operational processes for Base’s electricity markets.
What you'll do
- Manage compliance execution, filings, reporting cadences, and regulator-facing actions for assigned regulators.
- Draft, review, and submit regulatory filings; monitor rulemakings and dockets and identify business or operational implications.
- Build compliance frameworks and partner with operating teams to implement requirements at scale.
What they ask for
- 3+ years of regulatory experience in a listed utility, electricity provider, ISO/RTO, commission, or consulting setting, including direct filings before state utility commissions.
- Working knowledge of ISO/RTO markets and rules; ability to read administrative code and tariffs and translate them into operational requirements.
- Strong fact-based written communication and comfort drafting documents for regulators.
- Project-management skills and comfort working in a fast-moving, unstructured environment.
Nice to have
- FERC Order 2222 implementation experience.
- DER aggregation or distributed battery storage regulatory experience.
