Austin, TX · On-site · Full-time · Posted Aug 29, 2026
- Experience
- 8+ years building systems software close to hardware.
About the job
Build and operate a distributed GPU server fleet, including its control plane, provisioning, node software, networking, and integration with energy dispatch systems.
What you'll do
- Develop fleet inventory, identity, activation, telemetry, and operator tools for remote GPU nodes.
- Automate out-of-band provisioning and recovery, and build secure node-agent and overlay-networking systems.
- Integrate compute dispatch with energy planning and work with hardware teams on deployment constraints.
What they ask for
- Deep experience with server platforms, including BMC/iDRAC, Redfish or IPMI, PXE/virtual-media boot, hardware inventory, and remote recovery.
- Strong C, C++, Rust, or Go skills.
- Experience operating remote fleets of servers, network gear, vehicles, telecom, or energy hardware.
- Judgment in choosing industry standards and existing solutions over one-off inventions.
Nice to have
- Datacenter or cloud platform experience, including hypervisors, bare-metal clouds, or provisioning at scale.
- GPU serving experience, such as vLLM, inference routing, KV-cache-aware scheduling, or GPU fleet operations.
Tools
Redfish, iDRAC, IPMI, PXE, C, C++, Rust, Go
AI focus
