About the job

Own and improve the embedded camera pipeline so imagery supports autonomous perception and human teleoperation across demanding lighting and field conditions.

What you'll do

  • Diagnose image-quality failures, tune ISP and imager settings, and validate performance across lighting conditions.
  • Develop and integrate embedded camera drivers, synchronization, and software interfaces for autonomy systems.
  • Establish image-quality tests and work with perception, autonomy, sensing, and vendors to meet camera requirements.

What they ask for

  • Hands-on ISP tuning on real hardware and familiarity with AE algorithms and HDR pipelines.
  • Embedded camera driver experience and familiarity with camera data pipelines and autonomy middleware.
  • Understanding of sensor fundamentals, radiometry, and effects of ISP tuning on ML/perception performance.
  • Strong data analysis skills; comfort with C/C++ and/or Python.

Nice to have

  • Experience with outdoor autonomous or robotic platforms in harsh environments and automotive-grade camera interfaces or embedded compute.
  • Experience supporting both human viewing and ML perception, active illumination, or IEC 60825-1 eye-safety analysis.

Tools

V4L2, MIPI CSI-2, GMSL, I2C, ROS2, C/C++, Python, Nvidia Jetson/Orin

AI focus

Camera pipeline and image-quality work supporting ML perception models and autonomous systems; validate that ISP changes do not degrade model behavior.
