About the job

Build and own onboard software platform systems that enable Bedrock’s autonomous machines to operate reliably across machine types and demanding job-site conditions.

What you'll do

  • Develop onboard system services, runtime frameworks, middleware, diagnostics, and fleet observability.
  • Bring up new compute and sensors; optimize performance across CPU, GPU, and memory for real-time workloads.
  • Build internal tools, test infrastructure, and AI-enabled workflows for development, fleet analysis, and troubleshooting.

What they ask for

  • Experience building and shipping embedded systems in robotics, automotive, drones, or other high-performance embedded contexts.
  • Strong systems programming skills in C++ or Rust, plus Python fluency for scripting and analysis.
  • Experience building software on Linux-based systems, from services and applications to performance tuning and system internals.
  • Ability to debug across the hardware/software boundary and lead projects and design decisions across teams.

Nice to have

  • Hands-on experience with fielded sensing systems or production hardening for connected fleets.
  • Familiarity with NVIDIA Jetson, CUDA, or TensorRT; production Rust or safety-critical systems experience.

Tools

C++, Rust, Python, Linux, NVIDIA Jetson, CUDA, TensorRT

AI focus

Use AI and agents to automate development workflows and support fleet analysis, triage, and troubleshooting.
