About the job

Performs structural and dynamic simulations of robotic hardware, develops thermal-fluid analysis skills, and uses testing to improve simulation models and support design decisions.

What you'll do

  • Perform Static and Dynamic FEA on robotic components and subsystems and support design optimization.
  • Learn CFD and thermal-structural analysis; participate in physical testing to improve model fidelity.
  • Follow simulation workflows, help develop automation scripts, document results, and communicate with cross-functional teams.

What they ask for

  • Strong theoretical understanding of mechanics of materials, dynamics, and thermodynamics.
  • Basic to intermediate proficiency in a major FEA tool such as Ansys, Abaqus, or Nastran.
  • Ability to manipulate and simplify CAD data for simulation meshing, such as CATIA or SolidWorks.
  • Demonstrated application of FEA/Dynamics principles to real-world engineering problems.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with Python or MATLAB for data processing and simple task automation.
  • Strong research focus in simulation for new PhD graduates.
