About the job
Designs and validates IC blocks for high-speed backplane, cable, and optical-fiber communications, from specifications through silicon bring-up.
What you'll do
- Develop block-level specifications, design documents, timing constraints, resource plans, and schedules.
- Perform HDL design and verification activities, including simulations, synthesis, timing and equivalency checks, and silicon debugging.
- Create verification and test plans, analyze design tradeoffs, and support silicon bring-up.
What they ask for
- B.S. in EE or Computer Engineering and at least 12 years of directly related experience, or M.S./Ph.D. in EE or Computer Engineering and 10 years of experience.
- Good knowledge of ARM subsystems, high-speed digital circuit design, and 10G/100G Ethernet and OTN networks.
- Experience with RTL simulation and synthesis, and in-depth knowledge of low-power, design-for-test, and design-for-manufacturing practices.
- Knowledge of ASIC development languages, including Verilog, VHDL, Unix/Perl Scripting or Python, and C.
Nice to have
- Digital signal processing and error-correction-code knowledge; DSP design knowledge.
- High-level Synthesis experience and knowledge of backplane/cable/optical-fiber communication.
