Coordinates patient referrals, specialist and testing appointments, insurance authorizations, and follow-up to support continuity of care.
What you'll do
- Schedule, coordinate, triage, and track referrals; obtain insurance authorizations and follow up on outstanding consults and testing orders.
- Create and maintain referral records, scan and route correspondence, and communicate appointment details and instructions to patients.
- Support practice staff with referral issues and participate in quality improvement activities and required training.
