Coordinates patient referrals, specialist and testing appointments, insurance authorizations, and referral follow-up to support continuity of care.
What you'll do
- Schedules and tracks referrals, obtains authorizations, and follows up on outstanding referrals and uncompleted consults or tests.
- Communicates appointment details and instructions to patients; routes referral information and correspondence to providers.
- Supports practice referral operations, serves as a resource to team members, and participates in quality improvement activities.
