About the job
Design UX for wearable edge-AI and spatial-computing hardware, translating real-world workflows and model capabilities into physical-digital interactions and prototypes.
What you'll do
- Develop interaction models and forward-deployed UX programs for on-device AI, including local-cloud handoffs and degraded conditions.
- Design controllable, understandable agent interactions and spatial cues that communicate AI status and support user oversight.
- Build and test interactive spatial prototypes with engineering and hardware teams, using field feedback to improve products.
What they ask for
- Completing or recently completed a Master's degree in a listed or related field.
- Experience designing embedded systems, AR/MR hardware, wearable devices, or physical-digital products, demonstrated through projects, internships, research, or a portfolio.
- Understanding of on-device AI and edge-computing concepts, including SLMs, local vector embeddings, and performance tradeoffs.
- Proficiency with UX and 3D prototyping tools, plus familiarity with sensor data and edge hardware constraints.
Nice to have
- Experience shipping AI, AR, VR, MR, or wearable hardware products from concept through manufacturing.
- Familiarity with MCP-integrated generative workflows in engineering tools.
