- PhD candidate; no equivalent-experience alternative stated.
About the job
Research and develop low-power sensing and computing systems that co-design imaging hardware and algorithms to improve perception efficiency for AI agents.
What you'll do
- Design and prototype sensor or imaging architectures that perform computation near the sensing front-end.
- Build and characterize end-to-end imaging pipelines, from sensor physics and ISP through downstream perception models.
- Use foundation-model requirements to guide sensing hardware and develop machine-vision models optimized for hardware constraints.
What they ask for
- PhD candidate in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Engineering, AI, or a related discipline.
- Strong foundation in imaging systems, sensor technology, or machine learning/computer vision.
- Hands-on experience with VLM/LLM, world models, or large-scale vision foundation models, including understanding of data and architectural requirements.
- Track record of high-impact publication such as Nature, Science, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS, SIGGRAPH, or equivalent.
Nice to have
- Deep experience across hardware and software/model development.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools in research or engineering workflows.
