What you'll do

  • Design video analysis and quality assessment algorithms, including database creation, development, and optimization.
  • Develop end-to-end video quality optimization strategies combining analysis, processing, and encoding algorithms.
  • Analyze VOD and live-streaming data, and collaborate with platform teams to integrate and validate algorithms through A/B testing.

What they ask for

  • Completing or recently completed a PhD in computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, statistics, or a related discipline.
  • Strong programming, debugging, and optimization skills in one or more general-purpose languages, including C/C++ or Python.
  • Knowledge of image/video analysis or quality algorithms and technologies such as VMAF, PSNR, and SSIM.
  • Hands-on machine learning or deep learning experience and familiarity with PyTorch or TensorFlow.

Nice to have

  • Experience designing, training, or applying deep learning models, including CNNs, Transformer architectures, or multimodal large language models (MLLMs).
  • Knowledge of video processing algorithms, video codecs, codec design, embedded processors, or real-time RTOS development.

Tools

C/C++, Python, VMAF, PSNR, SSIM, PyTorch, TensorFlow, AVC
