About the job

Build and integrate control algorithms, models, and software for flight-vehicle actuation systems, from requirements and simulation through hardware testing and flight integration.

What you'll do

  • Design, implement, and tune closed-loop actuator controls; model electromechanical dynamics and analyze performance and robustness.
  • Develop actuator models and SITL/HITL environments, and implement algorithms in embedded flight software.
  • Plan and conduct hardware tests, analyze test and flight data, and collaborate across engineering disciplines to deliver flight-ready systems.

What they ask for

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Strong fundamentals in feedback controls, dynamics, or electromechanical systems.
  • Programming experience in Python, Rust, C/C++, Julia, or a similar technical computing language.
  • Experience analyzing dynamic systems through coursework, research, internships, projects, or professional work.

Nice to have

  • Experience designing and tuning closed-loop controls for electromechanical or aerospace hardware.
  • Experience with embedded or real-time control software, system identification, or SITL/HITL testing.

Tools
