About the job

Defines and drives the architecture and roadmap for Cerebras scale-up networks and their interfaces to scale-out and customer-facing networks, from workload analysis through implementation and qualification.

What you'll do

  • Set network architecture and roadmap; define fabric topology, protocols, and switch behavior.
  • Derive measurable network requirements with cross-functional teams and evaluate designs using models, simulations, prototypes, and lab data.
  • Write specifications, lead design reviews, and guide decisions through implementation, bring-up, and qualification.

What they ask for

  • BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 12 or more years of relevant industry experience, including principal-level ownership of a major networking, switching, accelerator, or HPC system from architecture into implementation or deployment.
  • Deep expertise in low-latency or proprietary interconnects, fabric protocols, switch architecture, or a closely related area, including data-plane concepts.
  • Working knowledge of Ethernet, IP, and RDMA; conceptual familiarity with BGP and EVPN.

Nice to have

  • Experience with accelerator interconnects such as NVLink, xGMI, TPU ICI, Xe Link, or UALink-class systems.
  • Experience with switch ASICs, NICs or DPUs, AI/HPC communication stacks, scale-out and I/O technologies, or workload-driven modeling and simulation.
