About the job
Processes FOIA requests for a federal agency, including reviewing records, coordinating searches, drafting correspondence, and determining what information may be released.
What you'll do
- Receive, review, analyze, and track new and backlogged FOIA requests.
- Coordinate searches, review records for responsiveness, identify duplicates, and ensure released materials do not contain exempt information.
- Draft FOIA correspondence and communicate with requesters, agency staff, and other parties about requested records and release negotiations.

- Knowledge of FOIA rules and regulations, specifically applying exemptions b(4), b(5), and b(6).
