Processes and reviews FOIA requests for a federal agency, coordinating records searches, requester communications, and release determinations.
What you'll do
- Receive, analyze, and track new and backlogged FOIA requests; prepare request folders and correspondence.
- Negotiate and coordinate with requesters, agency staff, and contractors about requested records and potential releases.
- Review records for responsiveness, identify duplicates, and ensure released materials exclude exempt information.
