About the job
Build and lead CHAOS Industries’ security operations center, overseeing detection, incident response, sensitive-data protection, compliance evidence, and SOC performance.
What you'll do
- Establish and manage SOC staffing, operations, playbooks, budget, tooling, and vendor relationships.
- Lead detection engineering, threat hunting, incident response, tabletop exercises, and protection of CUI and export-controlled data.
- Produce compliance evidence and performance metrics; partner with other teams to resolve security findings.

- U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a U.S. government security clearance; bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
Nice to have
- Experience building a SOC at an early-stage hardware or defense technology company; supporting a C3PAO assessment or DIBCAC review.
- Insider threat experience; familiarity with NISPOM; relevant certifications or prior military, intelligence community, or DoD cyber operations experience.
Pay
$180,000 - $240,000 USD base salary
