Leads hands-on mechanical design, integration, qualification, and production support for ruggedized 3U and 6U VPX electronics used in aerospace and defense applications.
What you'll do
- Design and package VPX cards, chassis, card cages, backplanes, and related assemblies; create CAD models, drawings, and interface documentation.
- Apply OpenVPX and VITA standards and support structural and thermal analysis, prototyping, qualification, and production transition.
- Coordinate with electrical, RF, thermal, manufacturing, systems engineering teams, suppliers, and customers to resolve integration challenges.
