Principal Software Engineer

What you'll do

• Translate security and operational needs into scalable architectures, technical designs, APIs, integrations, and implementation plans.
• Build and operate production software using secure development, threat modeling, automated testing, CI/CD, and production-readiness practices.
• Partner across teams to address security, data ingestion, distributed systems, reliability, and performance challenges; mentor engineers.

What they ask for

• Prior experience designing and delivering secure, enterprise-scale products or platforms.
• Software development background including API design, distributed systems, data stores, integrations, automated testing, and production-quality code.
• Cloud product architecture experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, including cloud-native services, infrastructure as code, high availability, scalability, resilience, observability, and secure multi-tenant design.
• Security engineering and operations experience across secure SDLC, cloud environments, and enterprise infrastructure, including threat modeling, vulnerability management, access controls, monitoring, incident response, and production support.

Nice to have

• Experience leading large-scale distributed systems and cloud products, especially in security analytics, SIEM, or SOC environments.
• Experience with multi-cloud security operations, full-SDLC ownership, infrastructure as code, containers or serverless, reliability engineering, data pipelines, or stream processing.

Pay

$250,600.00 to $362,600.00 USD base salary; $250,600.00 - $416,900.00 USD base salary; $241,400.00 - $371,000.00 USD base salary
