About the job

Build and maintain Clara’s QA automation platform, including frameworks, APIs, internal tools, and CI pipelines that help teams create, run, and diagnose automated tests.

What you'll do

  • Develop shared web and API automation frameworks, services, and internal tools for managing tests, results, and reports.
  • Integrate and improve smoke and regression test pipelines; reduce flaky tests and make failures diagnosable.
  • Enable QA and product teams to adopt reliable automation, including AI-assisted test generation and execution.

What they ask for

  • 4+ years of software development experience (backend and/or fullstack), with demonstrable automation or developer-tooling delivery.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript for Playwright or equivalent E2E frameworks; willingness to work with Java / Spring Boot as needed.
  • Experience building and maintaining web and API test automation frameworks; understanding of the test pyramid.
  • Backend fundamentals including REST APIs, relational databases, authentication basics, and clean service boundaries.

Nice to have

  • React / Next.js (or similar), CI/CD experience, Docker familiarity, and Git-based collaboration.
  • Prior SDET / SET / Test Infrastructure Engineer experience; mobile automation, AI/agent tooling, or AWS are also listed as nice-to-haves.

Tools

TypeScript/JavaScript, Playwright, Java / Spring Boot, React / Next.js, GitHub Actions, Docker, Appium, BrowserStack

AI focus

Structure frameworks and contracts so agents and CLIs can reliably generate and execute test specs; AI/agent tooling for test generation is a nice-to-have.
