Lead Data Engineer

What you'll do

• Set data ingestion standards and build warehouse capabilities such as a data catalog, semantic layer, and security controls.
• Develop data pipelines, CI/CD pipelines, and dbt tests; establish patterns that help product teams create and use data products.
• Lead and mentor a horizontal data engineering team, teach data practices, and enable nontechnical users and AI agents to access data.

What they ask for

• 7+ years of hands-on experience across the data ecosystem, including ETL/ELT, orchestration, warehouses, BI, and SQL optimization.
• Experience with data warehouses such as Redshift or Snowflake, data pipeline tools such as Dagster, dbt, and medallion architecture; proficiency in Python.
• Experience leading a horizontal Data Engineering team and mentoring data engineers and members of other teams.
• New York City based and able to work in-office 3–4 days per week.

Pay

$170,000 – $220,000 annually (base salary)
