About the job

Build research infrastructure, simulated environments, and evaluations that help frontier AI labs train and stress-test advanced agents.

What you'll do

  • Design and implement realistic, long-horizon agent simulation environments.
  • Develop policy-aware verification and evaluations, analyze model failures, and build scalable data pipelines.
  • Run post-training experiments (CPT, SFT, RL) and collaborate with founders and researchers on the roadmap.

What they ask for

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in a technical field, or demonstrated proof of work through significant open-source contributions or industry experience.
  • Strong software engineering foundation and ability to build robust, scalable infrastructure in a Python-friendly, CLI-first environment.
  • Principled understanding of foundation models, including their construction, evaluation, and optimization.
  • Experience conducting research or technical experiments with reproducible, data-driven results.

Nice to have

  • Experience with RLHF/RLAIF, simulation systems, or long-horizon agentic environments.
  • Influential ML research contributions (e.g., NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML), high-impact open-source projects, or large-scale model post-training experience.

Pay

$160,000 to $400,000 per year (base salary)
