About the job
Owns and operates Commure’s end-to-end data warehouse platform, from data ingestion and storage through query, transformation, and analytics tooling.
What you'll do
- Build and operate CDC pipelines, streaming transport, data lake, query and transformation layers, and analytics tooling.
- Set up data modeling, orchestration, CI/CD, observability, and data-quality practices for a reliable platform.
- Establish platform patterns and partner with Security and Compliance on PHI/PII handling, access controls, lineage, and auditability.

- 6+ years of software engineering experience, including significant time building or operating data platforms at scale.
- Experience across CDC, streaming, data lake formats, an MPP or lakehouse query engine, and dbt.
- Fluency in SQL, schema design, query optimization, and cost/latency trade-offs on large datasets.
- Experience running production data infrastructure, including orchestration, observability, on-call, data quality, and incident response.
Nice to have
- Production experience with Debezium, StarRocks, and dbt; semantic layers or data catalogs/lineage.
- Experience with HIPAA-regulated data, AI/ML workloads, multiple clouds, infrastructure-as-code, or Kubernetes controllers.
