About the job

Owns the physical configuration and integration of engines and vehicle subsystems, translating schematics into buildable, serviceable layouts and supporting hardware integration.

What you'll do

  • Configure and package engine assemblies and vehicle subsystems, including fluid-line routing and mounting hardware.
  • Evaluate layouts for loads, thermal conditions, assembly and maintenance access, and other tradeoffs; maintain master configuration models and integration drawings.
  • Coordinate subsystem interfaces, support build and fit checks, and mentor designers and junior engineers.

What they ask for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or a related engineering field.
  • 5+ years in configuration design, systems integration, packaging, or layout engineering for complex mechanical/fluid assemblies.
  • High-level proficiency in 3D CAD, with ability to manage large multidisciplinary assemblies and produce production-quality routing and installation definitions.
  • Strong understanding of structural loads and secondary-structure design, plus hands-on hardware integration experience.

Nice to have

  • Experience configuring rocket engines or launch-vehicle systems.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted design tools, generative design, topology optimization, or computational layout methods.
