Associate Director – Accounting Advisory (Operational Accounting/Controller)

What you'll do

• Guide clients on accounting close, controllership, financial reporting, audit readiness, and finance-system implementations.
• Advise on AI and automation to streamline accounting processes, improve forecasting, and support data-driven decisions.
• Lead client delivery and teams, mentor junior staff, and contribute to business development.

What they ask for

• 8+ years of experience spanning advisory and controllership roles, including 2+ years of hands-on Controllership experience in emerging growth middle-market organizations and/or PE-backed portfolio companies.
• Strong professional-services foundation in public accounting, an advisory firm, or management consulting.
• Hands-on experience or significant exposure to ERP systems and tools, and ability to leverage AI and automation for accounting processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; demonstrated client relationship, change-management, and team leadership abilities.

Nice to have

• Experience in Software SAAS, Healthcare, or broad B2B industries.
• CPA or CA certification.

Pay

$124,500 - $260,000 per year (base salary)
