Associate Director – Accounting Advisory (Operational Accounting/Controller)

What you'll do

• Guide clients on accounting close, reconciliations, compliance, financial reporting, and audit readiness.
• Advise on finance systems, AI and automation, forecasting, and integration of financial systems during acquisitions.
• Lead engagement teams, mentor junior staff, build client relationships, and contribute to business development.

What they ask for

• 8+ years of experience spanning advisory and controllership roles, with a strong professional services foundation; includes 2+ years of hands-on Controllership experience in emerging growth middle market organizations and/or PE-backed portfolio companies.
• Ability to leverage AI and automation to optimize accounting processes, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.
• Demonstrated success mentoring and leading teams, resolving multifaceted issues, and implementing initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; willingness to travel domestically up to 40% and participate in a hybrid office environment.

Nice to have

• Software SAAS or Healthcare, or broad B2B industry exposure.
• CPA or CA certification.

Pay

$124,500 - $260,000 per year (base salary)
