About the job
Designs, programs, tests, and supports PLC control systems for automated prescription dispensing equipment and related production automation.
What you'll do
- Develop, modify, test, and deploy PLC logic and control system improvements for production equipment.
- Integrate equipment, sensors, vision systems, robotics, and data collection systems; optimize controls for reliability, throughput, and efficiency.
- Create technical documentation, train site personnel, and support other sites as needed, including some travel.
What they ask for
- Demonstrated experience programming, developing, and modifying PLC-controlled machine and automation systems, including creating PLC logic from design requirements.
- Strong experience with PLC code development, programming standards, commissioning, testing, and startup support; Allen-Bradley PLC programming experience required.
- Experience with HMI development, networking, device integration, controls architecture, and troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment.
- Able to read and create control documentation and electrical drawings; mechanical troubleshooting experience; comfortable with on-call support in a 24/7 operation.
Nice to have
- Beckhoff PLC programming experience.
- Experience with machine control software from concept through implementation, capital projects, or automation upgrades; familiarity with Six Sigma or OEE analysis.
