Provides customer service for health benefit plan members and providers by researching issues, processing requests, resolving inquiries, and maintaining related records and reports.
What you'll do
- Builds trusting relationships with members, anticipates needs, and explains benefits, rights, responsibilities, and self-service options.
- Processes referrals, claims handoffs, complaints, grievances, appeals, and pre-authorizations; reviews eligibility, coverage, medical necessity, and claim history.
- Maintains financial data and prepares letters, spreadsheets, complaint trend reports, and claim data for audits.
