Completes supervised U.S. pharmacy internship training while supporting prescription fulfillment, patient care, and pharmacy operations in preparation for pharmacist licensure.
What you'll do
- Assist with pharmacy workflow and safe, accurate prescription fulfillment under pharmacist supervision.
- Support patient care through service, counseling when appropriate, immunizations and other health services where permitted, and escalation of patient concerns.
- Follow pharmacy procedures and regulations while helping with inventory, team development, and day-to-day operations.
What they ask for
- Foreign graduate of a non-U.S.-accredited pharmacy school before beginning the training program; FPGEC certification required.
- Pass the FPGEE and TOEFL to qualify for required U.S. internship hours.
- Complete required U.S. internship hours within 18 months and obtain pharmacist licensure in the position’s state within 120 days after completing those hours.
- Possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.
Nice to have
- 1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite; ability to become immunization certified.
