What you'll do
- Assess IV orders and patients for appropriate therapy, risks, interactions, and adverse outcomes; calculate doses and monitor infusion patients.
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and sterile compounding guidelines, maintain documentation, and oversee cleanroom monitoring and infusion pump maintenance.
- Coordinate IV care with facilities, clinicians, and home health agencies; answer IV medication questions and train rotating pharmacists and technicians.
