Supports primary care providers by documenting patient encounters, improving clinical documentation, and assisting with care-team workflows.
What you'll do
- Observe visits and document structured clinical notes, assign CPT and ICD-10 codes, and prepare After Visit Summaries.
- Support documentation improvement by reviewing records, using population health tools, and preparing for huddles and reviews.
- Place orders and referrals, address tasks, and provide other clinical documentation support.
What they ask for
- Knowledge of medical terminology and common medications, through a pre-medical degree or prior clinical experience.
- Advanced listening and communication skills; strong computer literacy and ability to learn technical workflows.
- Ability to adapt, take direction, work as part of a patient-care team, and attend in-person clinic shifts.
- Commit to at least 1 year; work approximately 40–45 hours weekly during clinic hours; comply with HIPAA and have US work authorization.
Nice to have
- Prior clinical experience, including shadowing and/or volunteering.
- Prior scribe or transcription experience; typing 70+ words per minute.
Pay
$17.00 - $28.46 USD base hourly rate
