Supports primary care providers by documenting patient encounters, improving clinical documentation, and assisting with care-team workflows.
What you'll do
- Observe visits and create structured clinical notes, assign CPT and ICD-10 codes, and prepare after-visit summaries.
- Support documentation improvement by reviewing records, using population health tools, and preparing for clinical reviews.
- Assist the provider and care team with orders, referrals, tasks, and other documentation-related work.
What they ask for
- Knowledge of medical terminology and common medications, from a pre-medical degree or prior clinical experience.
- Advanced listening and communication skills, strong computer literacy, and ability to learn technical workflows.
- Ability to adapt, take direction, work as part of a patient-care team, and attend work in person at clinics.
- Ability to work approximately 40–45 hours per week during clinic hours, commit to at least 1 year, comply with HIPAA and workplace policies, and have US work authorization.
Nice to have
- Prior clinical experience, including shadowing and/or volunteering.
- Prior scribe or transcription experience; typing 70+ words per minute is strongly preferred.
Pay
$17.00 - $31.30 (base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary)
