About the job
Supports primary care providers by documenting patient visits, improving clinical documentation, and assisting with care-team workflows.
What you'll do
- Observe visits and document structured notes, assign CPT and ICD-10 codes, and prepare after-visit summaries.
- Review records and use population health tools to identify documentation improvements and care gaps.
- Place orders and referrals, address tasks, and provide administrative support to the provider and care team.
What they ask for
- Knowledge of medical terminology and common medications, through a pre-medical degree or prior clinical experience.
- Advanced listening and communication skills, strong computer literacy, and ability to learn technical workflows.
- Ability to adapt, take direction, work in person during clinic hours, comply with HIPAA policies, and work approximately 40–45 hours per week.
- At least 1 year commitment; US work authorization. Community-language fluency where indicated.
Nice to have
- Prior clinical experience, including shadowing and/or volunteering.
- Prior scribe or transcription experience; typing speed of 70+ words per minute.
Pay
$17.00 - $25.65 USD base hourly rate
