About the job
Supports primary care providers by documenting patient encounters, improving clinical documentation, and assisting with care-team tasks.
What you'll do
- Observe visits and document structured notes, assign CPT and ICD-10 codes, and prepare after-visit summaries.
- Review records and use population health tools to support documentation improvement and care-gap closure.
- Place orders and referrals, address tasks, and support provider and care-team workflows.
What they ask for
- Knowledge of medical terminology and common medications, through a pre-medical degree or prior clinical experience.
- Advanced listening and communication skills; strong computer literacy and ability to learn technical workflows.
- Ability to adapt, take direction, work in person during clinic hours, and comply with HIPAA and workplace policies.
- US work authorization; ability to commit at least 1 year and work approximately 40–45 hours per week.
Nice to have
- Prior clinical experience, including shadowing or volunteering; prior scribe or transcription experience.
- Typing speed of 70+ words per minute; fluency in Spanish, Polish, Russian, or other community languages where indicated.
Pay
$17.00 - $28.46 USD base hourly rate
