Supports primary care providers by documenting patient encounters, improving clinical documentation, and assisting with care-team workflows.
What you'll do
- Observe visits and document structured clinical notes, assign CPT and ICD-10 codes, and prepare after-visit summaries.
- Support clinical documentation improvement by reviewing records, using population health tools, and assisting with huddles and reviews.
- Place orders and referrals, address tasks, and provide other documentation-related administrative support.
What they ask for
- Knowledge of medical terminology and common medications, from a pre-medical degree or prior clinical experience.
- Advanced listening and communication skills; strong computer literacy and ability to learn technical workflows.
- Ability to adapt, take direction, work as part of a patient-care team, and attend work in person.
- Commitment to at least 1 year; ability to work approximately 40–45 hours per week during clinic hours; US work authorization and HIPAA compliance.
Nice to have
