Provides onsite and virtual health coaching, wellness education, and program coordination to help county employees improve their health and sustain lifestyle changes.
What you'll do
- Assess members’ health histories and goals, then provide personalized coaching, guidance, and accountability.
- Design and deliver wellness presentations and workshops, and coordinate wellness activities and resources.
- Engage county leaders and wellness liaisons, monitor program effectiveness, and develop wellness communications.
What they ask for
- At least 3 years of experience in motivational interviewing, health coaching, fitness instruction, nutrition counseling, or related roles.
- Active health coach certification or related credential, including NBHWC, ACSM, AFPA, or Wellcoaches.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, and OneNote.
- Must reside in Miami-Dade or Broward County; willing to work onsite up to five days per week, occasionally outside standard hours, and travel up to 75% within Miami-Dade County.
Nice to have
- ACE Certified Health Coach or NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
- Strong communication, organization, collaboration, listening, and critical-thinking skills; master’s degree in a related field.
Pay
$46,988.00 - $102,000.00 (base salary)
