Principal Data Architect

What you'll do

• Own data reference architectures and define data mesh, systems-of-record, and golden-path patterns.
• Embed governance, lineage, quality, and controls for regulated data into automated pipelines and access patterns.
• Enable AI and analytics data infrastructure, establish semantic and metrics layers, and guide teams through design authority.

• 12+ years in technology, including deep hands-on data architecture experience at Aetna Technology scale.
• Expert-level data platform architecture across multivendor, multicloud environments; fluency across modeling, pipelines, and consumption layers.
• Demonstrated ownership of enterprise data architectures and golden-path patterns for data products.
• Strong command of data governance, lineage, quality, and regulated-data controls; working knowledge of data mesh, domain ownership, and systems-of-record design.

Nice to have

• Experience in healthcare, health insurance, or similarly regulated industries.
• Hands-on AI/ML data infrastructure experience, familiarity with FinOps, or infrastructure-as-code and automated policy enforcement.

Pay

$144,200.00 - $288,400.00 (USD, base salary; posting describes the range as base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary)
