Senior Director, AI Engineering

What you'll do

• Define model performance requirements and oversee how model outputs affect platform content quality.
• Partner with scientists, engineers, and product managers to deliver scalable solutions for real-time event detection.
• Set and track model quality and cost metrics, modify model workflows and evaluations, and direct engineering approaches.

What they ask for

• Graduate degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
• At least 7 years of software engineering experience in a cloud-native environment (AWS, Kubernetes).
• At least 5 years of experience leading software engineers in an AI team.
• Hands-on experience developing and deploying large-scale ML, deep learning, or LLM systems; experience with deep learning frameworks, LLMs, agent harnesses, or compound AI systems.

Nice to have

• Experience deploying AI in NLP, CV, IR, or a related field, preferably in a real-time setting.
• Demonstrated record delivering complex AI projects; strong communication skills and understanding of research stages.

$229,600 - $337,000 USD base salary
