Experience
5+ years of systems engineering in production; Windows guest experience on Linux hypervisors (KVM/QEMU + virtio) or equivalent depth in Windows virtualization internals.

About the job

Build and operate Windows sandbox infrastructure on Linux hypervisors, enabling fast boot, snapshots, on-demand forks, and APIs for AI agents to control Windows environments.

What you'll do

  • Build the Windows guest stack, including virtio drivers, guest agents, image pipelines, and unattended provisioning.
  • Improve Windows boot and login latency; build snapshot, restore, and fork capabilities, plus APIs for agent control.
  • Automate image builds and updates, and improve Windows host density, cost, and reliability.

What they ask for

  • 5+ years of systems engineering in production.
  • Experience with Windows guests on Linux hypervisors (KVM/QEMU + virtio), or equivalent depth in Windows virtualization internals.
  • Strong Windows internals, including boot, services, session management, registry, and PowerShell/WinRM automation.
  • Systems language skills in Go, Rust, C/C++, or C# where it counts.

Nice to have

  • Remote display protocol experience, Windows driver or guest agent development, or desktop automation/UI testing/computer-use agent experience.
  • Packer or image-as-code tooling for Windows.

Tools

KVM/QEMU, virtio, PowerShell, WinRM, Go, Rust, C/C++, C#
